The okoumé body provides warmth and responsiveness, the flamed maple top tightens transients and adds brightness. The active preamp includes a 20 dB boost to drive the amp or effects. The Fishman Powerbridge piezo opens up credible "acoustic" textures, which can be routed separately in stereo. The combination of a 3-position selector switch + push/push tone control allows for customized tonal configurations, from massive riffs to hi-fi cleans.
