What NUGEN Halo Vision Is For
Halo Vision is aimed at mixers and sound editors for music, film, television, VR/video games, and any immersive workflow. It allows control of phase between channels, visualization of the spatial scene, ensures mix translation across different layouts, and quickly diagnoses anomalies that listening alone might miss, including in untreated rooms.
Main Features
Intelligent Correlation Views
The Correlation Matrix displays phase relationships between all channels with color coding, featuring a large curved meter for detailed analysis and adjustable threshold anticorrelation alerts. The Correlation Web connects each pair of channels and lights up when anticorrelation risks causing cancellations. Contextual Correlation compensates for level differences to report only issues likely to be audible in the mix.
Frequency and Location Haze
The Frequency Haze presents spectral content on a disk, from bass at the center to treble at the periphery, with channel markers according to speaker layout. The Location Haze visualizes the perceived position and energy distribution in the surround field for immediate control of spatial balance.
Spectral Analysis, Levels, and Markers
The Spectrum operates in "Combined" mode to overlay all channels or in "Groups" mode to organize distinct sets. The True Peak provides a dBTP level per channel to avoid clipping. A Timecode display precisely follows the DAW playback position.
Ergonomics and Workflow Speed
A clear, modular, and customizable interface groups complex information without overloading the screen. Halo Vision integrates naturally into your chain alongside tools like Halo Upmix, Paragon, or VisLM to speed up analysis and ensure every mixing decision is reliable.

Questions frequently asked
Is Halo Vision compatible with Mac?
The announced compatibility covers OS X 10.9 with 1 GB of RAM.
What Windows configuration is required?
On Windows, this software runs on Windows 7 with 1 GB of RAM. The license is downloadable.
How to detect phase issues in surround sound?
The Correlation Matrix displays the phase relationships between all channels using a color code. The Correlation Web connects each pair of channels and indicates potential cancellation risks. The Contextual Correlation compensates for level differences to target audible problems during mixing.
Can the frequency distribution in space be analyzed?
The Frequency Haze places the bass frequencies at the center of the disc and the treble frequencies at the periphery. Channel markers follow the speaker arrangement.
Does Halo Vision display timecode and peaks per channel?
The Timecode display tracks the playback position of the DAW. The peak module indicates a level in dBTP for each channel.
