And because this type of circuit can sometimes sound a bit muffled, NUX adds an option designed to instantly regain definition.

Controls, Modes, and Pedalboard Logic

The three controls Drive, Level, and Tone cover the essentials: Drive sets the amount of saturation, Level adjusts the output volume (ideal for boosting an amp or another pedal), and Tone sculpts the overall balance with a wide range from darker to brighter sounds. The "Shine" mode adds a dose of highs and brightness to restore bite and better clarity on chords, especially with humbucker pickups or already warm amps (activated by holding the footswitch for more than 1.5 seconds). Regarding integration, the pedal also allows choosing between True Bypass and Buffer, a real plus if your signal passes through multiple effects: the buffer helps preserve clarity and presence over long cable runs.
