Essential Information About the Radial Pro-D2 Direct Box
- Stereo passive DI with 2 independent channels, ideal for keyboards, drum machines, and DJ setups
- High headroom to handle high-level signals without unwanted distortion
- Essential tools for stage and studio: -15 dB attenuator per channel and ground lift switch
- Radial's ultra-robust construction: shielded steel chassis and non-slip pad
Radial Stereo at the Heart of the Pro Series
Designed as the fusion of two ProDI units in a single compact enclosure, the Pro-D2 continues the tradition of Radial's passive DIs praised for their reliability and transparency. It delivers width, imaging, and dynamics of stereo instruments so your keyboards and drum machines can fully exploit their potential, without compromise on phase or clarity.
Intended Uses and Target Audience
The Pro-D2 is aimed at keyboardists, programmers, DJs, and sound engineers who want to cleanly connect stereo sources to a console or PA system. Its two-channel topology also perfectly suits two mono instruments (for example, active guitar and bass) connected simultaneously, with the safety of a -15 dB pad when one of the signals is particularly hot. The ground lift switch helps eliminate hum and interference caused by ground loops.

Questions frequently asked
Is the Radial Pro D2 suitable for a stereo keyboard?
The two channels allow connecting the left and right outputs of a keyboard, digital piano, sampler, or drum machine. The XLR outputs then send the signal to a console, while the jacks provide the audio return.
Can two mono instruments be connected to this DI box?
This direct box has 2 independent 6.35 mm jack inputs. It can therefore simultaneously accommodate two mono sources, such as an active guitar and an active bass.
What is the purpose of the -15 dB pad?
The -15 dB attenuator lowers the level of a particularly high-output source before transmission. It is suitable for hot signals from digital pianos or drum machines, up to a maximum input level of 18 dBu.
How to eliminate hum with the Pro-D2?
A ground lift switch is integrated to help reduce interference caused by a ground loop. It is used when hum appears between the source and the sound system.
Does the DI require power or phantom?
The passive design does not require any external power or built-in preamp. The transformers provide signal balancing with a specified frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The steel shielded chassis helps protect the electronics from interference.
