An Entry Point into the Diamond Series Universe
The Deluxe series is Schecter's first entry-level range to carry the Diamond Series name. The idea is clear: to offer an electric guitar at a very affordable price while retaining the brand's visual DNA and a refined finish. The result: a guitar made for lots of playing, fast progress, and discovering Schecter sensations in reassuring conditions.
For Whom, and For Which Styles?
The Schecter Deluxe is primarily aimed at beginners and intermediate players who want a stable, comfortable, and effective guitar. Thanks to its humbuckers and Tune-O-Matic bridge, it naturally suits rock, hard rock, and metal, but remains comfortable for rounder crunch/clean tones, especially in the neck position. Its ergonomics and 24 frets also make it a good base for working on solos and modern techniques.
The Sound
The basswood body provides a pleasant balance: present mids and a balanced response, practical for adapting to different amps and effects. The Schecter Diamond Plus pickups (humbuckers) favor a dense and powerful output, with good saturation handling and solid lows. The passive electronics and simple controls (1 volume, 1 tone + 3-position selector) allow you to quickly achieve a usable sound, from warm clean to heavy drive. The Tune-O-Matic bridge with string-through-body promotes a stable tension feel and solid sustain for riffs as well as held notes.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
This guitar comes factory-equipped with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 2221 strings, gauge .010-.046: you can stick with this gauge to maintain the same comfort and tension. A gig bag/case is available as an option: SGR-1C (sold separately).
