An anniversary S6 that captures Seagull's DNA, "1982" version

To celebrate over 40 years of success of the S6, Seagull revisits its iconic formula with the S6 Collection 1982. The goal is clear: to recapture the aesthetics and character of a "vintage" S6 while maintaining what has made the line famous - a careful selection of components and a design intended to remain accessible. Like all Seagull guitars, it is made in Canada from sustainably sourced woods.

For which guitarists and styles?

Thanks to its shorter scale length and very immediate response, the S6 Collection 1982 is suitable for beginners (comfort, ease of handling) as well as intermediate and advanced musicians seeking an expressive acoustic. It is particularly well-suited for fingerpicking, pop/folk, chanson, dynamic strumming, and pairs very well with vocals thanks to its balanced spectrum.

Sound

The solid cedar top delivers natural warmth, excellent attack sensitivity, and harmonic richness ideal for nuanced playing, even at low dynamics. The cherry used for the back and sides contributes to a precise and balanced response, with solid projection and a present midrange, perfect for standing out in an acoustic mix. The natural semi-gloss finish allows the instrument to vibrate freely, enhancing the sensation of resonance, sustain, and the "bright, rich, warm, and balanced" character unique to this edition.
