The First Sire Headless: The "M Series" Spirit Taken Further
With the M6 Headless, Sire transposes the modern DNA of the M series into a headless design focused on ergonomics. The mahogany body and 5-piece maple/mahogany neck prioritize stability and consistency, while the "Mahogany Satin" satin finish highlights a sober, contemporary aesthetic oriented towards performance.
A Modern 6-String for Demanding Bassists
This bass is primarily aimed at intermediate to expert musicians who want a comfortable, precise, and versatile 6-string instrument. Its multiscale design facilitates a clear low B without stiffening the upper register, making it very comfortable in rock, metal, fusion, gospel, funk, and pop, whether fingerstyle or pick, slap, tapping, or chordal playing.
The Sound
The mahogany body provides a warm foundation, with present mids and solid lows, while the rosewood fingerboard contributes to a softer, more musical high end. The 5-piece neck construction enhances rigidity and sustain, and the headless bridge with individual saddles ensures very direct vibration transmission, string by string.
On the electronics side, the Marcus Pure-H Revolution pickup set delivers a precise and articulate signal, perfect for maintaining definition on a 6-string. The Marcus Heritage-3 preamp (active/passive mode, bass, treble, and mids with adjustable frequency) allows switching from a round, clean tone to a more biting attack, with fine mid control to instantly fit into a mix.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
For optimal comfort, a strap (wide if you play standing for long periods) and a good quality 6.35 mm jack cable are essentials, suitable for this bass as well as most stage and studio setups.
