A Mustang Designed to Get Straight to the Point in the Squier Sonic Series
This Squier Sonic Mustang HH captures the Mustang spirit in a modern, easy-to-set-up, and straightforward version: comfortable craftsmanship, iconic Fender look, and electronics focused on efficiency. Within the Squier Sonic range, it positions itself as an accessible and inspiring electric guitar, designed to start quickly, play often, and easily cover both saturated and punchy clean tones.
For Whom and Which Styles?
Thanks to its short scale length and ergonomics, this Mustang is very suitable for beginners (easy to handle) as well as intermediate players (lightweight instrument, effective in a band). The HH configuration makes it particularly comfortable for rock, punk, indie, garage, and modern metal, while remaining relevant for pop and clear rhythms that require warmth.
The Sound
The poplar body provides a pleasant balance, with a fairly neutral response that highlights the electronics well. The maple neck adds attack and precision, while the Indian laurel fingerboard maintains a comfortable playing feel. The two ceramic humbuckers deliver a generous output level, with solid lows and present mids, perfect for distortion and riffs. The Volume and Tone controls remain simple and effective, and the 3-position selector switch allows quick switching from a sharp bridge sound to a rounder neck tone, or combining both. The 6-saddle hardtail bridge promotes tuning stability, accuracy, and consistent sustain.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To stay true to the original spirit and characteristics, a set of 9-42 electric strings (nickel-plated steel) is perfectly suited. The 4 mm Allen wrench is used for truss rod adjustment.
