Does the Strymon PCH maintain the stereo signal of a pedalboard?
Its 2 channels allow transmitting a stereo signal to the XLR outputs. The Sum function of the Thru outputs can be disabled to adapt the routing to the configuration used.
Can it be connected to a mixing console at mic or line level?
The XLR outputs feature a switchable mic or line level setting. A ground lift switch is provided on these outputs to reduce hum caused by ground loops.
Does the PCH allow headphone monitoring?
A built-in stereo headphone amplifier also powers high-impedance headphones. Local monitoring enables control of the pedalboard's spatialization and levels without an external monitoring system.
What power supply is required for this unit?
Power is supplied at 9 V DC, with internal conversion to 24 V. This architecture increases the available headroom before saturation.
Is the signal altered by the XLR output?
The active interface is designed for transparent transmission, with very low total harmonic distortion. It is suitable for chains including preamps, amp simulations, or stereo effects at high level.
