The ACID8 MKII stands out with its playful approach to acid: character and harmonics first arise from an extremely manipulable 8-bit oscillator, then are sculpted by an analog section that adds body, impact, and a dirty resonance just how we like it. The result: an instrument with a strong personality, crafted for punchy patterns and instantly catchy lines.
Who is it for, and in which styles?
This synthesizer is aimed at musicians and producers who want to program quickly and get instant acid sound without spending hours in menus. Ideal for techno, electro, acid, breaks, and live performance, it is also excellent in the studio to add a controlled "digital lo-fi" layer, then thicken it via the analog filter. Swing and song chaining features make it very comfortable on stage, syncing perfectly with your set.

Is the Acid8 MKII suitable for acid lines and techno?
Its 8-bit oscillator is followed by a 100% analog VCA and resonant low-pass filter. The Cutoff, Resonance, and envelope modulation parameters, as well as the accent and step slide, allow the creation of pronounced acid lines.
What waveform shapes are available?
The machine features 16 waveforms distributed among rectangles, triangles, sawtooth, and sine waves. Four of them are software-editable, with the possibility to redraw custom waves.
Does the sequencer allow creating complete tracks?
Patterns can range from 1 to 16 steps and offer real-time editing, randomization, copy, and paste functions. An 8-level swing is available and saved with each pattern. Pattern chaining enables constructing full songs.
How to synchronize this acid machine with a hardware setup?
Synchronization is done via MIDI Clock or through a sync input in 1/8" mini-jack format. This connectivity allows integration with devices using either of these two sync methods.
Can glitch and lo-fi effects be obtained with this synth?
Up to 5 DSP effects can be stacked, including bit inversion, bit crushing, and sample rate reduction. PWM and envelope pitch modulation complement these treatments.
