It excels in silent headphone practice, direct recording without a microphone, and on stage thanks to its stable, feedback-resistant Line OUT. Its thin neck and 400 mm radius promote modern playing styles: fingerstyle, pop, folk, acoustic rock.

Sound Characteristics

Without a soundboard or bracing, the character comes from the sensor/piezo combination and the SRT Powered preamp that models studio microphone capture. The Blend control allows balancing between the precise attack of the sensor (ideal in a band setting) and the richer, more organic "microphone" tone for solo parts or recording. Bass/Treble EQ and the Smooth effect refine the tone, while reverbs and chorus add space and texture. The 25" / 634 mm scale length offers comfortable tension and natural sustain, with excellent note-to-note definition.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To preserve sound quality and comfort, we recommend Yamaha FS50BT strings (official reference for SLG200S) or D'Addario XT in folk gauges. Consider having a spare pair of AA batteries and a 3.5 mm mini-jack stereo headset/earphones for silent playing. The original carrying case is included.
