In 1992, two entrepreneurial minds, Ole Brøsted Sørensen and Morten Støve, left Brüel & Kjær and initiated a transformation that still affects the audio world today. They transformed the best-known and most precise measurement microphones in the world into the most transparent and faithful professional audio microphones available on the market today. The omnidirectional 4006 microphone was one of the first recording microphones developed by DPA and remains one of the most popular recording microphones worldwide.
