About the brand Presonus
PreSonus was founded in 1995. The brand is a leader in audio recording and related software, hardware, and accessories. Its products are used worldwide to record, broadcast, and shape sound. The company's goals? To offer professional music production tools for musicians and sound engineers.
It all started in a garage, quickly moving to real premises in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where the company remained for its first 4 years. The first product released was the DCP8, an 8-channel controller, compressor/limiter/noise gate. Ahead of its time, this controller offered features usually only available at the time on unaffordable mixing consoles.
Today, PreSonus continues to develop a range of innovative, professional, and affordable products for the music and pro audio industries. The brand places particular importance on the fine integration between hardware and software, thus providing systems with capabilities far beyond what hardware and software alone can deliver.
