Agean 18" Ride Hush

Historical context and position within the range

The 18-inch Ride from the Hush Hush series reflects Agean's artisanal approach, as a renowned Turkish cymbal manufacturer known for producing cymbals using traditional methods. Individually hammered, lathed and perforated by hand in Uzunköprü, it combines classic craftsmanship with a design created for today's playing environments, where volume control has become essential.

The Hush Hush series stands out for its lower volume level compared with a traditional cymbal, while retaining a genuine acoustic presence. It therefore offers a relevant middle-ground solution for musicians who want to preserve the feel, dynamics and tone of a bronze ride, with a more easily controlled response.

Who is this 18-inch Ride cymbal for?

This cymbal is aimed at intermediate to advanced drummers, but it is also suitable for any beginner looking to invest in an expressive and durable ride. Its 18-inch size offers excellent maneuverability and encourages precise playing, whether using sticks, mallets or brushes.

It naturally fits into modern jazz, pop, funk, light rock, acoustic music and rehearsal setups. Its controlled power also makes it suitable for playing in small to medium-sized venues, studios or environments where the sonic balance with other instruments needs to remain subtle.
