An Agile Fixture for Stage, Club, and Events
Designed to adapt to all setups, the "MW430Z" excels both on stage and in clubs, for mobile performances or fixed installations. Its zoom offers a tight beam ideal for shaping space and highlighting a performer, but opens wide for an enveloping wash effect on a backdrop, dancefloor, or set. At weddings, private parties, bars, or restaurants, it delivers uniform color and clean coverage, with simple and quick operation when setup time is limited.
Who Is It For? Mobile DJs, Lighting Technicians, and Demanding Venue Operators
The MW430Z targets DJ entertainers seeking professional output without overloading the rig, lighting technicians and event professionals wanting a compact yet powerful fixture, as well as venue operators (bars, clubs, small stages) who want a reliable moving head that's easy to troubleshoot and energy-efficient. Discerning private users will find an upgradable fixture, ready for DMX as well as standalone use.

I ordered 2 lyres. When switched on, they make their original socket completely the opposite of the DMX zero position, which wastes a lot of time. The initialization takes 43 seconds! An eternity if it happens during a performance! We're going to keep our fingers crossed!
Once the zero is done, I notice that the 2 lyres have an angle of offset. Nothing is documented on a possible setting but by looking in the Menus we arrive at a “t000" setting not described in the doc and whose sub-steps allow you to make specific settings on each channel. This allowed me to readjust the angle difference between the 2 lyres.
The acceleration/deceleration curves are much too soft. I set the TILT to zero and sent a 255 command at full speed. It accelerates and barely has time to run at a constant speed than it is already decelerating. When used on a stage with a stroke reduced to half so as not to light the walls, the motors will never work at max speed but only on acceleration/deceleration curves. It's slow... and disappointing. It is therefore also not possible to try to calculate a PAN/TILT interpolation to make straight lines at an angle.
Another point, I am really very disappointed by the LED dimming which does not exploit the 255 possible steps per channel. At the start of lighting, you can clearly see the differences between each increase in brightness when you are between 0 and 100 points. Each dimming step is done approximately every 7 to 10 DMX points, which makes Fade In or Fade Out extremely choppy. Fun Generation RGBW LED PARs at 50 Euros do better than that!
Everything I am describing to you happens in the same way on the 2 lyres and they have serial numbers that are not successive. It is therefore not an anomaly of a lyre but their normal functioning visibly.
I contacted ALGAM 2 times by their email written in the instructions to ask them if a firmware update was possible to correct these negative points. I am still waiting for the answer but I am under no illusion! I am obliged to keep them because I have 2 benefits to insure soon and I have no replacement solution. As a result, I will exceed the withdrawal period. I was fooled 1 time but it will be the last for me with ALGAM.Automatically translated
