A Remote Control Surface Designed to Expand the dLive Ecosystem
The IP8 is a next-generation remote controller designed to bring greater flexibility to dLive systems. It meets the needs of sound engineers, system integrators and operators who require additional physical controls without having to change the main layout of their setup.
With its 8 motorised faders, this controller keeps essential levels immediately at hand. It integrates naturally into an existing dLive configuration and can complement a mixing surface, a MixRack or a setup controlled from a computer.
Its TCP/IP network communication makes integration into modern environments straightforward. The IP8 can be networked with other controllers, computers and third-party devices via a standard Ethernet infrastructure, making it particularly well suited to scalable systems.
For Compact Control Rooms, Console Expansions and Installations
The IP8 controller is designed for dLive system users who want the reassuring ergonomics of physical faders in situations where a large surface is not required, or when it no longer meets all their control needs.
In a mixing setup without a surface, it can be paired with a MixRack and a computer running dLive Director. This approach makes it possible to build a particularly compact control room while retaining direct control over levels. It is a suitable solution for mobile productions, space-constrained environments and setups that need to be deployed quickly.
The IP8 also provides an effective extension for a dLive surface. For example, the sound engineer can use the surface's channels to control inputs and assign the controller's 8 faders to Master levels. Control assignments then become clearer and more fluid during mixing.
In a fixed installation, the controller can be configured to provide only the parameters that are genuinely useful to everyday users. This makes it possible to create a simple, accessible interface for adjusting microphone levels or selecting and balancing different audio sources in a room.
Configurable Controls for Operation Adapted to Every Venue
Centralised Programming
The IP8's controls and functions can be programmed from a dLive surface or via the dLive Director software for Mac and PC. This configuration flexibility makes it possible to adapt the controller to the layout of a control room, the operator's preferences or the specific requirements of a venue.
Rather than imposing a fixed layout, the IP8 can take on a targeted role within the system: managing main levels, controlling dedicated sources or providing additional physical access to certain mixing functions. This customisation helps make everyday operation faster, more intuitive and more secure.
The Convenience of Motorised Faders
The 8 motorised faders provide useful visual and tactile feedback when several users operate the same system or when settings are recalled in a dLive configuration. They make it possible to monitor the levels assigned to the controller while benefiting from precise, immediate mixing control.
Whether the IP8 is placed next to a surface, in a secondary control room, in a mobile rack or in a multipurpose room, it provides a clear control interface. Its dedicated format expands dLive control capabilities without unnecessarily taking up workspace.
