The Artist Series: Alvarez Expertise Serving Responsiveness

The Artist series embodies Alvarez's pursuit of precision in luthiery and sound balance, with special attention to bracing, voicing, and assembly quality. The goal is clear: to offer an inspiring guitar, sensitive to playing nuances, with strong projection and consistent response across the entire range. The AF70ce fits this spirit with a construction focused on musicality and comfort, in a versatile Folk/OM format.

For Which Guitarists and Styles?

The Alvarez Artist AF70ce is aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking an expressive electro-acoustic guitar, whether at home, in rehearsal, or on stage. Its OM/Folk format is perfectly suited for fingerstyle, pop, folk, blues, and vocal accompaniment, while remaining comfortable for pick playing. The wider nut adds extra comfort for enriched chords and fingerstyle playing.

Sound Characteristics

The solid mahogany top promotes a clear attack, singing midrange, and excellent touch sensitivity: ideal for highlighting playing intentions, from the lightest to the most forceful. The rosewood back and sides add depth in the bass, beautiful high-end definition, and a sense of width in the harmonics, with generous sustain. The FS6 bracing contributes to overall balance and projection, maintaining a lively and even output across the entire neck. When plugged in, the LR Baggs StagePro Bronze electronics are designed to preserve the acoustic character, delivering a clear and usable sound for live performance.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To stay as close as possible to the original feel, you can opt for a set of D'Addario XTAPB1264 strings (same reference) or an equivalent gauge 12-64. For amplification, a standard 6.35 mm jack cable is suitable, and a clip-on tuner remains a simple and universal accessory for tuning on the go.
