Regent Series: The Alvarez Spirit in a Ukulele Built to Last
With the RU22CCE, Alvarez applies its "lutherie first" philosophy in the Regent Series, designed to offer genuine build quality right from entry-level. The choice of mahogany, glued dovetail neck joint, and easy-to-adjust electronics aim for a clear goal: a coherent, stable, and musical instrument capable of supporting your progress without limitations.
A Ukulele to Progress and Play Amplified with Ease
This model is especially suited for dedicated beginners and intermediate players seeking a versatile concert ukulele, comfortable for both accompaniment and melody. Its natural warmth and balanced definition are well suited to pop, folk, chanson, unplugged settings, as well as softer styles like bossa or light jazz, delivering a pleasant sound both acoustically and amplified.
Sound
The solid mahogany top provides a quick response and dense midrange, with a clear attack that highlights rhythm. The mahogany back and sides enhance tonal unity: the sound remains round, homogeneous, and well-centered, ideal for naturally blending in an ensemble. The modified fan bracing promotes efficient vibration of the body, with controlled sustain and soft harmonics, free of harshness. When amplified, the AUE-20 EQ preamp allows quick adjustment of volume and tonal contour while preserving the instrument's warm character.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To get the best from the RU22CCE, choose a concert-sized case or gig bag to secure transport, and keep a set of concert-sized nylon strings (the model comes with Aquila Nylgut) to maintain the original feel and tonal balance. If playing amplified, a good quality 6.35 mm (1/4") jack cable is recommended. Finally, a humidifier can help stabilize the wood when the air becomes very dry.
