Talkbox is a vocal effect designed to transform a sound source (synth, guitar, voice, pads, basses) into a vocalized and intelligible timbre, typical of funk, electro, pop, or hip-hop productions. It also allows exploration of more modern treatments such as exaggerated formants, robotic sounds, articulated textures, or rhythmic morphing effects, while remaining easy to integrate into a mixing or sound design workflow.

The plug-in combines talkbox processing oriented towards "voice" with dedicated control possibilities. Audio and control signal inputs facilitate driving amplitude modulation, useful for syncing the effect to another track, following a performance, or creating very musical dynamic movements.

Formant and amplitude modulation relies on extracting formants and intensity variations. The result: a more nuanced effect than a simple filter, capable of preserving a sense of articulation and presence, while allowing more radical settings for experimental effects.
