Quiet Feel and Rich Tone for Short-Scale Bass
Designed for bassists seeking a smooth playing experience and cleaner sound, the Aquila 310U Round Spirals set relies on unconventional material choices. Its varnished copper coating limits sliding noises and unwanted friction, making it an excellent companion in the studio, rehearsals, or on stage when every nuance counts.
Aquila replaces stiffer alloys (steel, nickel, phosphor bronze) with pure copper. Thanks to a higher specific weight, copper promotes better acoustic performance, with natural presence and convincing projection, while maintaining comfortable playability on a shortscale bass.

Questions frequently asked
Are these strings compatible with a 4-string shortscale bass?

What is the gauge of the Aquila 310U Round Spirals?
The specified diameters are 2 mm for the E string, 1.73 mm for A, 1.32 mm for D, and 1.06 mm for G. Thus, this is a four-string set tuned E-A-D-G.
