A Software Ecosystem Turned Stage Synthesizer
The Arturia AstroLab 37 brings the world of virtual instruments into a standalone format designed for musicians who want to access their sounds without relying on a computer on stage. It combines a vast selection of sound engines and presets from the Arturia ecosystem with a resolutely immediate approach.
At the heart of this philosophy, compatibility with Analog Lab Pro, V Collection and Pigments makes it easy to move from the studio to live performance. Sounds, playlists and settings can follow the musician from a creative session to rehearsal and then to the stage, in a compact instrument designed to be ready to use quickly.
A Portable Keyboard for Performers and Sound Designers
With its 37-key slim format, the AstroLab 37 is aimed at keyboard players looking for a compact instrument that is complete enough to handle synth, bass, lead or piano parts in a live setup. It also fits naturally into a home studio, for producers who want quick access to a wide variety of tones.
Its keyboard with aftertouch encourages more nuanced playing: open a filter, accentuate a modulation or make a pad evolve by applying more pressure to the keys. The Chord, Scale and Arpeggiator functions help you build harmonies, melodic lines and rhythmic sequences with ease, whatever your level or style.
Electro, pop, synthwave, ambient, techno, film scoring or modern funk: the AstroLab 37 offers an exceptionally broad sonic foundation for moving from one genre to another without multiplying the number of machines.
AstroLab 2.0: More Control, More Sounds, More Reliability
Sound Edit Mode at Your Fingertips
The AstroLab 2.0 update expands the editing possibilities directly from the front panel. Each instrument can now offer several parameter pages, accessible via the four Macro knobs. Envelope, filter, glide and other essential settings are easier to adjust while playing, whether you are fine-tuning a sound or radically transforming it.
This approach retains the spontaneity of a stage keyboard while opening up more sound design possibilities. The color screen and central encoder contribute to clear navigation, while the 10 preset buttons provide instant access to the most important sounds in your performance.
Sampled Instruments Designed for Live Performance
AstroLab 2.0 also expands the sound palette with a collection of sampled instruments. The Pure Grand Clean acoustic piano features eight velocity levels for a more expressive response under your fingers. Funk- or orchestral-oriented brass, strings suited to pop productions, as well as acoustic and electric basses complete this selection, designed to stand out effectively in a live mix.
The multi-instrument engine lets you switch between virtual analog synthesis, FM or wavetable textures and more organic sampled sounds. The 17 insert effects, joined by dedicated Delay and Reverb sections, provide the tools needed to color, widen or place each sound within the stereo field.
An Optimized Playing Experience
Version 2.0 improves the sampler's polyphony as well as its connection and updates with Analog Lab. Transposition is now indicated by the Octave LEDs, aftertouch response has been improved and the organization of the preset list makes it easier to access the most relevant sounds. These practical enhancements make the instrument more comfortable and reliable for everyday use.
