Historical Context and Positioning in the Range
Handcrafted at the UK Custom Shop, the Ashdown Shavo Odadjian 22 Head follows the tradition of Ashdown heads designed to withstand touring and deliver solid low end, while offering a distinctive sonic signature. Its development "for and by" Shavo Odadjian places it as a high-end performance-oriented variant, built on the spirit of the ABM series: a platform renowned for its punch, character, and consistency in demanding contexts.
Who This Amp Is For
This head is ideal for intermediate to professional bassists seeking a powerful platform capable of cutting through dense mixes. It is especially suited for rehearsal and stage use (power reserve, comprehensive connectivity, control features), while remaining relevant in the studio thanks to the DI output and Pre/Post EQ options. Style-wise, it naturally targets rock, metal, nu metal, and all genres where a present, articulated bass capable of adding grit without losing low-end is expected.
