AME-200 Pro: the most advanced version of the AME series
The Audota AME-200 Pro sits at the top of the AME series. This multi-effects processor combines amplifier modeling, speaker simulation via impulse responses and a collection of effects in a portable format. Its approach is to bring together the key elements of a guitar sound in a single unit that can be used both on stage and in the studio.
This Pro version focuses on flexibility: chains with multiple modules, custom IR imports, configurable foot controls and USB recording. The built-in battery completes the package for musicians who want to reduce their reliance on an external power supply during playing sessions.
For stage, studio and home-studio guitarists
This guitar multi-effects unit with amplifier modeling is aimed in particular at demanding guitarists who alternate between rehearsals, concerts and recording sessions. The 200 user memories allow you to prepare multiple setups and save settings suited to different songs. Less experienced musicians will also find plenty of scope to explore effects-chain construction without adding multiple devices.
From blues to rock, metal to ambient textures, its architecture lets you organize processing according to the needs of the song. At home, the headphone output, drum machine and looper make regular practice easier. For songwriting or content creation, USB-OTG audio enables direct recording with a compatible device.
A customizable chain, from the first effect to recording
The AME-200 Pro offers 221 built-in effects and up to 10 simultaneous modules. You can therefore prepare chains suited to your needs and save them in the 200 user slots. The 3.5-inch color TFT screen provides access to preset and parameter editing, while the three customizable foot controls let you adapt operation to your playing style.
The included expression pedal can be used to control volume or another assignable parameter. It provides smooth control for changing a setting during a phrase without interrupting your playing. The stereo looper offers up to 180 seconds of recording time for layering ideas, practicing accompaniment or developing an instrumental part.
The USB-C port provides several functions: OTG audio, computer connection, charging and firmware updates. Editing software for Windows and macOS makes it easy to manage setups and presets. The connections also include an instrument input, a main output and a stereo headphone output for adapting the setup to the situation.
The sound
The sonic character of the AME-200 Pro is based on the combination of amp modeling, effects and speaker simulation via IRs. This architecture lets you shape the result rather than imposing a single color. The choice of amplifier, the processing used and the selected impulse response work together to determine the balance and texture of the sound.
Support for third-party IRs in WAV format at 44.1 kHz and 24-bit resolution allows you to fine-tune the speaker response to suit your preferences. Up to 30 files can be stored for comparing different sonic signatures and adapting your setups. This feature will be of particular interest to guitarists who already use their own IRs to maintain consistency between home practice and recording.
