A BARON-CTM at the heart of the Global series: classic spirit, Bacchus touch

The Bacchus Global BARON-CTM BLK is part of the Global series, a range designed to offer an accessible "stage guitar" experience while maintaining lutherie and equipment choices focused on performance. Its visual identity is based on a standout feature: the carved top body. Compared to a flat-top electric guitar, this construction provides a more "high-end" presence and better showcases the material, depth, and nuances of the wood under the Black finish. The result: a guitar with a timeless look that fully embraces its "single cut" heritage while remaining versatile in use.

Who is it for? A versatile electric guitar for progressing, recording, and playing in a band

With its LP shape, pair of humbuckers, and comprehensive electronics, the BARON-CTM targets a broad audience. It is especially suitable for serious beginners seeking a foundational first guitar (easy to set up, logical to control), as well as intermediate musicians looking for a reliable instrument for rehearsals, home studio, and gigs. Styles naturally suited here include rock, hard rock, blues, pop, indie, and anything requiring a solid rhythm base with the ability to switch to solos without changing guitars. The 2 volume / 2 tone controls allow preparing different levels between neck and bridge pickups, then instantly switching via the 3-position selector, handy for alternating between soft verses and more biting choruses.

Sound: the nyatoh + humbuckers duo for body, sustain, and rich thickness

The BARON-CTM relies on an effective recipe: a nyatoh body paired with a nyatoh neck, complemented by a rosewood fingerboard. Nyatoh is appreciated for its balanced response and ability to produce a dense sound with a strong midrange foundation-ideal for retaining presence in a mix, especially with humbuckers. The rosewood fingerboard offers a softer feel under the fingers and tends to slightly round off the attack, enhancing the "singing" quality on bends and melodic phrases.

On the amplification side, the Original H-H set delivers the expected character of a humbucker configuration: less background noise than a single coil, a thicker attack, firm lows, and a more generous sustain feel, particularly appreciated on a guitar of this format. The neck pickup emphasizes round tones (blues, jazz-blues, warm arpeggios), while the bridge pickup provides more precision and bite for riffs and leads. The middle position, combined with independent volume and tone controls, opens up very musical variations: cleaning up a sound by lowering volume, softening the bridge pickup via tone, or conversely keeping a clear and present neck pickup for smooth rhythms.

Finally, the T.O.M (Tune-O-Matic) style hardware contributes to the sense of stability: sharp attack, stable intonation, and simple adjustments. Paired with the Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut, this results in a comfortable daily-play guitar that handles heavy chords as well as bends and vibratos, while maintaining good tuning stability.

Recommended compatible accessories

The BARON-CTM comes factory-strung with 010-046 gauge strings (D'Addario). You can stick with this standard, perfectly suited to a 6-string electric, to maintain a good balance between comfort, precision, and tuning stability. If you want more flexibility, a lighter gauge (for example 009-042) will make bends easier; conversely, a heavier gauge will increase resistance under the right hand and stability in lower tunings. The guitar is delivered with a gig bag and adjustment wrench, so you already have the essentials for transport and basic setup.
