Behringer NOX101

A simple and efficient DJ console, focused on the essentials

This 2-channel DJ mixer follows the most straightforward mixing approach: focusing on the essentials without complicating your setup. It meets the classic needs of a DJ who wants to connect two sources (turntables, CD players, or any line-level source) and control their mix with clear, immediately understandable tools.

Its positioning is ideal for building a reliable and scalable setup: a dedicated mixing interface, with a complete equalization section and precise level monitoring. A perfect logic for working on fundamentals (gain staging, frequency balance, transitions) or providing simple sound reinforcement without multiplying devices.

For which DJs and uses?

This DJ mixer is particularly suitable for beginner DJs who want to learn on a real 2-channel mixer, as well as for experienced DJs seeking a compact solution for a second setup, rehearsal room, streaming space, or home studio corner. It is also relevant in mobile DJ contexts when the goal is quick installation, easy adjustment, and robust handling.

Thanks to its 2 phono/line inputs, you can alternate between turntables and line sources depending on your configuration. The presence of a microphone input facilitates hosting, announcements, or MC interventions during an event, bar, community party, or private set.

Features and innovations

The core of the mix relies on a 3-band equalization per channel, an essential standard for shaping your sound: reducing overly present bass, softening intrusive mids, or brightening highs according to the room acoustics. The kill filters add a more radical and highly appreciated DJing approach: sharply cutting a frequency band to create break effects, isolate a rhythmic element, or make a particularly clean fade between two tracks.

For level control, the 10-segment level meter provides real comfort: you quickly visualize your headroom before clipping and adjust your gain methodically. This is a decisive asset for preserving dynamics, limiting distortion, and achieving a more professional sound, whether connected to a PA system, a pair of active speakers, or a recorder.

Regarding routing, the presence of a master output allows feeding your main sound system, while the record output is ideal for recording your mixes, capturing a set, or sending a dedicated signal to an audio interface or recording device. This "master + record" scheme is particularly practical for maintaining a stable recording level, even if you adjust the overall volume during the performance.
