The NX Series: Behringer Power in a Lightweight Rack Format
Designed to deliver maximum watts without the weight or heat of traditional amplifiers, the NX3000 follows the "high density" approach of Class D: an easy-to-integrate rack chassis, an ultra-efficient switching power supply, and carefully designed ventilation to handle consecutive performances. The goal is clear: to power demanding systems while simplifying transport, installation, and long-term operation.
What Are the Intended Uses of the Behringer NX3000?
The NX3000 is tailored for live applications, DJ gigs, event performances, fixed installations, and passive speaker monitors whenever power reserve with a safety margin is needed. Its operating modes (stereo, dual mono, bridge) allow adaptation to various setups: two passive speakers in stereo, a dedicated channel for a passive subwoofer, or an "impact" oriented bridged configuration depending on your system.
Thanks to the combo XLR/6.35mm Jack inputs, it easily connects to a mixer, broadcast processor, external crossover, or interface, both balanced and unbalanced. Front panel indicators (signal and limit) help maintain a clean and controlled level, particularly useful when quick adjustments are needed on stage or in the control room.
Questions frequently asked
What power does the Behringer NX3000 deliver depending on impedance?
In stereo, the peak power reaches 2 x 440 W at 8 ohms, 2 x 900 W at 4 ohms, and 2 x 1,500 W at 2 ohms. In bridge mode, it delivers 1,500 W at 8 ohms or 3,000 W at 4 ohms.
Can this amplifier be used for a passive subwoofer?
The bridge mode allows powering a passive speaker with up to 3,000 W peak at 4 ohms. The rear crossover also offers LF, band-pass, and HF settings to distribute frequencies in a bi-amped configuration.
What speakers can be connected to the NX3000?
Two outputs with locking speaker connectors are provided for channels A and B, with operation in stereo, mono, or bridge mode.
What audio connectivity is available?
The two combo XLR/TRS 6.35 mm inputs accept connections from a mixer, broadcast processor, external crossover, or interface. Connections can be made balanced or unbalanced.
Is the NX3000 suitable for a mobile rack?
Weighing 3.5 kg with dimensions of 231 x 483 x 94 mm, this model adopts a lightweight rack format. The back-to-front ventilation is designed for rack use. Independent protections per channel cover DC overload, low frequencies, and temperature.
