An Accessible Tribute to the Acid Line Icon
The Behringer TD-3 AM pays homage to the legendary bassline that shaped 80s/90s house and techno. It replicates the purely analog signal path and the famous resonant low-pass filter, while adding a beefy distortion and expanded connectivity. The result: the beloved "squelchy" character with the reliability and ergonomics of a modern instrument.
Who Is It For, and What For?
Ideal for motivated beginners as well as seasoned producers seeking immediate workflow. In the studio, it excels for EDM, techno, acid, electro, synthwave, or rhythmic ambient. On stage, its intuitive sequencer, biting accents, and onboard distortion deliver hypnotic basslines and formidable real-time control.

Questions frequently asked
Is the Behringer TD-3 AM fully analog?
The subtractive synthesis is based on a 100% analog signal path, featuring a VCO and a 24 dB/octave resonant low-pass filter. Two waveforms are available: inverted sawtooth and pulse.
How many notes and patterns can be programmed?
The sequencer includes 16 steps and allows step-by-step or real-time programming. Slides and accents can be applied to each step. Memories are organized in groups and patterns can be chained.
What MIDI and CV connectivity is available?
This instrument offers MIDI In/Thru via 5-pin DIN and a USB-MIDI type B connection. CV and Gate outputs enable control of compatible gear, while a sync input facilitates clock sharing.
Can multiple notes be played simultaneously with this synth?
The operation is monophonic, playing one note at a time. However, the Poly Chain feature allows stacking up to 16 units to reach 16 voices.
Is distortion built into the TD-3 AM?
An analog distortion section is integrated to add drive to basslines. The line output uses a 6.35 mm TRS unbalanced jack and can reach +8 dBu.
