Summary of This Method
With Rudiment Grooves, rudiments no longer remain "academic" figures: they become a complete musical material to build solid grooves, effective fills, and coherent solos. The idea is simple and highly productive: start from the 26 standard rudiments, then orchestrate them across the entire kit by combining hands and feet, in order to achieve textures and movements typical of great drummers.
The method offers fifty illustrated grooves designed to be immediately playable and transferable to all styles. You work on single and double strokes, rolls, drags, flams, and the entire paradiddle family (paradiddle, double paradiddle, variations in grooves and fills), as well as more advanced combinations. Each example becomes a modular base: by changing accents, tempo, feel, or distribution on toms, snare drum, bass drum, and cymbals, you instantly multiply possibilities.
The accompanying CD reinforces learning by providing a clear audio reference: you hear how these rudiments "sound" once applied to the drum set, which helps develop placement, consistency, and musical intention. An ideal resource to enrich your rhythmic vocabulary, gain creativity, and build a more expressive playing, from technical work to group situations.
