BG France and the YOKE: a Classic in Ergonomics for Saxophonists
Renowned for its accessories dedicated to wind instruments, BG France has built its reputation on practical and durable solutions to enhance musician comfort. The YOKE harness has become a benchmark among saxophonists thanks to its simple and effective principle: transferring the instrument's weight to the shoulders while ensuring a stable attachment via the belt or pants. This modernized version retains the spirit of the "legendary" model while incorporating a black metal spreader and an MSH metal hook for even more reliable daily use.
Intended Use and Target Musician
This harness is designed for beginner to professional saxophonists who regularly play standing and want to reduce neck tension. It is particularly suitable for contexts involving consecutive pieces or movement: marching bands, pop, jazz, contemporary music, event performances, and long rehearsals. Its belt/pants attachment provides a appreciated sense of stability, especially if you move a lot on stage.
Sound and Design
Although a harness does not directly alter the timbre, it can improve playing ease: by relieving the weight of the alto saxophone and stabilizing the position, it facilitates a more natural posture, freer breathing, and more consistent sound production. The cutaway design is intended to enhance comfort, while the adjustable strap shoulder straps allow precise fitting. The black metal spreader provides a sturdy base, and the plastic-coated snap carabiner helps limit shocks and scratches at the attachment point.

Good street music harnesses, except for the shoulder straps that don't fit. Harness ok if you put the straps through the belt. Good support for those who have neck problems like me.
