Summary of This Method
This educational series is based on an innovative concept: revealing the musician and artist hidden within each student by giving meaning to technical work through a concrete musical goal. Rather than chaining "isolated" exercises, the student progresses toward completing a finished piece: one of the 12 tracks to prepare, as a performer would before a concert or studio session. Each track thus becomes a rewarding milestone, with a flexible schedule (one to three weeks per session) that adapts to the pace of the class or individual lesson.
The course is structured into thematic workshops that allow learning, practicing, and reviewing the fundamentals necessary for progression: note reading, rhythms, singing, listening, and writing. This organization clarifies objectives, facilitates weekly planning, and strengthens autonomy, while maintaining a musical thread leading to the final "performance" of the track.
The teacher's material goes further by integrating the student book and adding elements specifically designed to guide teaching: exercise corrections, advice and work instructions, accompaniments, and harmonic chord symbols for the tracks. The CD complements the set with recordings of full versions and playbacks, as well as intermediate versions when useful, notably to secure the arrangement of multi-voice pieces.
