Continuing the live production-oriented ATEM control panels, the ATEM Television Studio 4K8 combines a control panel, a 12G-SDI switcher, and an infrastructure designed for modern workflows into a single chassis. While the HD models focused on 1080 workflows, this version extends the entire chain to Ultra HD up to 2160p60 and adopts HEVC H.265 encoding to produce 4K masters that are more efficient in storage and transfer. Its 4-port 10G Ethernet switch and integrated recording and streaming functions reinforce a "plug and produce" logic for teams that need to deliver quickly, cleanly, and repeatedly.

Simultaneous recording to RTMP streaming is supported, with H.264 encoding in HD or HEVC H.265 in Ultra HD, in MP4 format.
How to connect an audio console or microphones to this switcher?
The 58-channel audio mixer receives embedded audio from the SDI inputs, as well as 2 XLR inputs and one stereo RCA input. A MADI input and a MADI output allow integration with a 32/64 channel audio infrastructure. A 6-band parametric EQ, gate, compressor, and limiter are available on the mix.
How many video returns can this switcher manage for a stage or concert?
