What BLEASS Sidekick Is For

BLEASS Sidekick is a production tool designed to add impact and movement to your tracks. It is used to create powerful kicks (from sharp attack to round sub), program precise rhythmic patterns, and, above all, to make the mix breathe through a sidechain-style ducker. It is especially suited for electronic music (house, techno, EDM, drum and bass), hip-hop, and any production where you want a bass that leaves room for the kick, pads that musically "pump," or dynamic effects synchronized to the tempo.

Main Features

Kick synth with analog character

The KICK DRUM SYNTH engine is designed to generate punchy and deep bass drums, with an aesthetic inspired by vintage drum machines. The goal is simple: quickly get a kick that carries the track, with solid low end and a clear presence in the low-midrange, without relying on sample layering or complicated processing.

Sidechain-style ducker for rhythmic dynamics

The SIDECHAIN DUCKER section allows you to create a musical sidechain compression effect, widely used to carve space for the kick and make the mix more readable. Ghost Mode goes further: you trigger the pumping like with a ghost kick, but without adding an audible hit. This is ideal for animating pads, reverbs, basses, or full stems while keeping a clean low end.

Separate bus and more flexible mix control

Thanks to SEPARATE BUS ROUTING, the kick signal can be routed to a dedicated bus channel. You gain true mixing freedom: processing the kick independently from the rest (distortion, clipper, transient shaper), fine stereo mix control, or integration into a dedicated processing chain, without disturbing the ducker's behavior.

16-step sequencer and MIDI triggering

The 16-STEP SEQUENCER allows programming tight and steady rhythms, perfect for immediately establishing a groove. You can also trigger Sidekick via MIDI to integrate it into your arrangement, vary patterns, or precisely follow the track's structure. The whole design aims to remain simple, fast, and CPU-efficient, even in heavy projects.
