Blue Cat FreqAnalyst Pro is a spectral analysis plug-in designed to precisely visualize and understand the frequency content of an audio signal in real time. It is aimed at sound engineers, producers, and sound designers who want to control the mix balance, track resonances, check low-end extension, identify masking between tracks, or validate the impact of an equalizer, compressor, or saturation. Thanks to its analysis outputs convertible into automation or MIDI, it also becomes a creative tool to trigger dynamic interactions between tracks (an "intelligent" sidechain based on pitch or signal energy).

The 3D waterfall view (full scene control, solid surface or wireframe display) is particularly useful for spotting resonance trails, reverb behavior, or harmonic content variations on complex sounds. All channels remain accessible, with zoom and coordinates for precise measurements.

Automation and MIDI output: analysis becomes a controller

The plug-in provides output parameters usable to control other effects in real time: minimum/maximum frequencies, as well as the energy center of the spectrum, in Hertz or as a MIDI note. You can transform these values using offset, amount, and reverse settings, and visualize the impact directly on dedicated graphs. Result: you can imagine advanced workflows, for example a filter whose cutoff follows the pitch of an instrument, or compression that reacts differently depending on the dominant frequency range of the signal.
