What Blue Cat StereoScope Multi Is For
Blue Cat StereoScope Multi is a stereo field analysis plug-in designed to visualize, compare, and measure the stereo of multiple sources simultaneously. In mixing, it allows you to concretely check "where each element is placed" (drums, bass, guitars, keyboards, vocals, effects) within the stereo image, to avoid masking, excessive widening, or left/right imbalances.
In mastering or quality control, it helps to detect phase issues, risks of cancellation when switching to mono, and the real impact of an effects chain on the perception of width and stability. It is also a very practical solution for comparing stems, buses, or multiple versions of the same processing, with immediate visual feedback.
Main Features
Multi-source comparison on a single screen
Based on the stereo analysis algorithms of StereoScope Pro, StereoScope Multi displays multiple tracks in parallel with instantaneous, peak, or average curves. You can thus compare the stereo signature of several instruments at once, or analyze an effects chain by observing how each stage modifies the image (wideners, chorus, reverb, M/S compressor, etc.).
Measurement, zoom, and fine reading of the stereo image
The plug-in offers animated zoom capabilities and coordinate display for reliable measurements. Absolute and relative thresholds facilitate interpretation according to the signal's level and dynamics, and the function to calculate differences between curves helps to precisely quantify discrepancies between two sources (or two settings).
Advanced routing and effective A/B
Thanks to advanced routing options, you can apply different settings for each analyzed track to adapt the analysis to the nature of the signal. Curves can be saved for quick A/B comparisons, very useful to validate phase correction, width adjustment, or stereo pair balance.
Customizable interface and DAW integration
StereoScope Multi includes interface customization via skins, opacity control, and zoom options to fit your screen and workflow. On the production side, it offers features expected in a modern studio: automation, MIDI control, MIDI Learn, preset management, and copy/paste of plug-in state between instances, for a smooth session workflow.

Questions frequently asked
Is Blue Cat Audio StereoScopeMulti compatible with macOS Apple Silicon?
Mac compatibility covers OS X and macOS 10.9 or later, on Intel or Apple Silicon processors. All sample rates supported by the system can be used.
Can multiple stereo tracks be compared on the same screen?
The display gathers several sources simultaneously to compare their stereo images. Curves can be viewed in instantaneous, peak, or average mode. A function also calculates the differences between two curves.
How to identify phase issues and mono compatibility risks?
The measurement tools allow observing left/right imbalances and phase problems. Absolute and relative thresholds, as well as coordinate display, facilitate the analysis of mono cancellation risks.
Does StereoScopeMulti run on Windows 10?
On Windows, the software is compatible with Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10 on SSE2, Pentium 4, or newer processors.
Can the plug-in be automated in a digital audio workstation?
Integration includes automation, MIDI control, and MIDI Learn. Presets and state copy/paste between instances enable quick recall of analysis settings.
