Historical Context and Positioning in the Range
Launched in 2016, the Katana range established itself as a reference for versatility, sound memories, and an effective "plug and play" approach both in rehearsal and on stage. With the Katana-110 Bass and Katana-210 Bass, BOSS applies this philosophy for the first time to bassists, offering a combo designed to handle the dynamic, precision, and projection demands specific to bass.
Who This Amp Is For
The Katana-210 Bass targets the intermediate to professional bassist seeking a reliable, versatile amp that's quick to dial in. It is particularly suited for rehearsal, concert, and home studio contexts thanks to its direct output and USB connectivity. Its (switchable) tweeter and tone-shaping tools make it comfortable for funk/slap, pop, and modern music styles, while also allowing a return to more classic tones for rock and "old school" sounds.

Three amp voicings are offered: Vintage, Flat, and Modern. The three-position Shape switch adds Mid Scoop, Bright, and Extended Range modes, while the 4-band EQ includes selectable mid frequencies.

Four independent sections are built in: Comp/Limiter, Drive, FX1, and FX2. More than 60 effect types can be loaded via BOSS Tone Studio, including chorus, octaver, synth bass, reverb, and delay.
What connectivity does the Katana-110 Bass offer for recording?
A balanced XLR direct output allows selection of Direct, Pre, or Post signal. The headphone/recording output has three Air Feel settings, and USB connectivity enables use with BOSS Tone Studio on macOS or Windows.
