Summary of This Collection
Designed for musicians seeking immediate enjoyment, this collection for melodica offers a musical journey focused on atmospheres drawn from TV, film, and musical theater. The EASY level allows concentration on the essentials: intonation, rhythmic placement, and sound quality. The melodica, halfway between a keyboard and a wind instrument, naturally encourages working on breath control, consistency of tone production, and dynamics, while maintaining comfortable reading.
In the spirit of a pedagogical collection, the goal is to facilitate entry into the "screen" repertoire with pieces that remain rewarding from the very first sessions. This format is particularly suited to developing the ear (recognition of motifs, phrases, themes), strengthening right-hand/left-hand coordination according to the given writing, and gaining expressiveness through a more singing style of playing. The German language of the instructions also serves as a useful reference for musicians familiar with German-language editions or wishing to progress in this context.
