This Martin is primarily aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking a high-end dreadnought that is expressive and reliable live. It excels in strumming (powerful accompaniment), flatpicking, and pick playing, with a broad response ideal for folk, country, bluegrass, acoustic pop, and voice-guitar accompaniment. Its neck with a GE Modified Low Oval profile also promotes comfort during long sessions.

Sound Characteristics

The combination of solid Sitka spruce and solid East Indian rosewood delivers a very wide spectrum: deep lows, clear highs, and beautiful harmonic complexity, with excellent note separation. The Dreadnought body provides depth and impressive projection, while the Golden Era X bracing (carved) adds a more "breathable" feel, lively attack, and a more singing sustain. When plugged in, the Fishman Aura VT Enhance electronics help preserve the acoustic grain and dynamics, reducing the overly "piezo" effect for a more natural amplified sound.
