A Principio Stage Designed for Amplified Playing Without Losing the "Classical" Spirit
The Principio Stage CA-PM-SE follows a faithful approach to the fundamentals of the classical guitar (nylon strings, sober and refined aesthetics), while incorporating clearly performance-oriented choices: slimmed body for playability, onboard electronics for amplification, and premium visual details such as the wooden mosaic rosette and gold tuning machines.
For Whom and Which Styles?
This guitar is aimed at beginner to intermediate guitarists seeking a comfortable classical guitar ready for amplified playing, as well as stage musicians (accompaniment, duo, worship, cover) who want quick plug-and-play without sacrificing the nylon feel. It is particularly suited for classical, Latin, bossa, acoustic pop styles and accompaniment with light pick or fingerstyle.
Sound
The solid spruce top provides a clear tone, precise attack, and good projection, ideal for articulating nuances in fingerstyle. The sapelli (back and sides, as well as the "sapelli mahogany" construction) contributes a warmer color, with present mids and a balanced low register. The matte microporous finish enhances the feeling of living wood and can help the instrument "open up" by allowing the body to vibrate better. On the amplification side, the ETC-4 preamp allows quick sound shaping via a 4-band equalizer, with the practical advantage of a built-in tuner for the stage.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
As a replacement, you can stick with a Hannabach 600HT nylon string set (with Sol 3 Carbon), identical to the original setup, to maintain the roundness and balance of the series.
