Summary of This Method

Julien Bitoun is a musician, journalist, and graduate of Sciences Po Paris, where he teaches rock history. After two years working in a suburban Paris music store, he wrote and tested for Guitar Part, Guitare Sèche, and Guitare Xtreme. Owner of 12 guitars, 4 amplifiers, and about twenty pedals (having purchased many more over time), he intimately knows the doubts, comparisons, and little anxieties that accompany the life of a guitarist and, more broadly, a musician. Noticing these questions kept recurring among his friends, he chose to address them in a structured way through a method. The reader will find a clear and accessible approach, practice-oriented, to better understand what lies behind recurring questions: how to progress without getting distracted, how to make coherent decisions for one's playing and tone, and how to feel legitimate in one's journey. This method is aimed at musicians who want to progress within a framework, put words to their hesitations, and transform their doubts into work levers, using precise vocabulary and a vision nurtured by years of practice, listening, and teaching.
