The Casio CELVIANO GP-310 follows a "Grand Hybrid" approach: offering a digital piano designed as a true pianist's instrument, with special attention to touch, resonances, and sound projection. Its interface highlights direct access to signature piano tones (Berlin, Hamburg, Vienna), and its mechanical and acoustic settings allow you to fine-tune the instrument's response according to your technique, repertoire, and playing environment.
Keyboard Design
The GP-310 features an 88-key Natural Grand Hammer action keyboard: the wooden keys and simulated hammers replicate the feel of a grand piano, with a grand piano-style pivot point for better finger stability. The Tri-Sensor Original detection (3 sensors) enhances precision and repetition speed, ideal for trills and fast passages. The touch is customizable with 5 levels of sensitivity adjustment and 10 levels of hammer response (or deactivation). Realism is further enhanced by key release simulation and surface materials close to acoustic pianos: acrylic coating on white keys and phenol on black keys. Finally, the keyboard support is made of high-quality Austrian spruce, dried and treated for optimal durability.
Sound Quality
The sound generation is based on the AiR Grand source, a modeling designed to deliver a lively and nuanced response from pianissimo to fortissimo. The GP-310 offers 26 tones and 256-note polyphony to preserve harmonic richness even with pedal use and layering. Acoustic settings allow fine personalization of the sound: string resonance (10 levels or off), sustain pedal resonance (10 levels or off), key action noise (10 levels or off), and lid opening simulator (10 levels) to evolve the tonal color like on a grand piano. To play silently without losing the spatial illusion, an optimized headphone mode adjusts acoustics for a more natural sound.
