The True Hybrid in the Cole Clark Lineage
True to its Australian approach blending traditional luthiery and stage innovations, Cole Clark designed the True Hybrid to combine, in one instrument, the richness of a solid wood acoustic and the versatility of an electric guitar. The use of selected blackwood and premium components aligns with the brand's philosophy: natural tone, reliability, and material durability.
For Which Guitarist and Styles?
Ideal for the intermediate to professional guitarist who alternates acoustic and electric playing within the same set. Perfect for pop, folk, country, indie, blues, and light to biting rock. Ambitious beginners will appreciate its "Thinline" ergonomics and cutaway, which facilitate rapid progress in both rhythm and picking.
Sound
Solid blackwood offers a precise balance: tight lows, present mids, and rounded highs. The Grand Auditorium Thinline format promotes responsiveness and limits feedback while maintaining projection and sustain. The PG3 3-voice system allows for dialing in a very natural acoustic sound, while the HSS section provides clear electric textures, crunch, or denser tones thanks to the humbucker. Result: an ultra-versatile guitar, ready for stage, studio, and direct recording.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
Set of steel strings such as Elixir Nanoweb phosphor bronze 12-53 (equivalent factory replacement), strap with secure strap locks, universal clip-on tuner, case humidifier to stabilize the woods, acoustic guitar capo with standard radius fingerboard. The included tweed case protects the instrument during transport.
