Contemporanea C-PFB-10 - PANDEIRO 10" - SKIN SUPER NYLON

Historical Context and Positioning in the Range

An iconic instrument of Brazilian percussion, the pandeiro is often considered the most versatile "tambourine": capable of delivering groove, accents, and very subtle nuances. The C-PFB-10 continues this tradition by offering a modern and reliable format focused on performance, with a synthetic head designed to provide consistency and durability for everyday use.

Who This Pandeiro Is For

The C-PFB-10 is suitable for both beginners looking for an easy-to-handle instrument and intermediate percussionists who want a durable pandeiro for lessons, rehearsals, and stage use. Its 10-inch size and Super Nylon head make it comfortable in many styles: samba, pagode, choro, forro, capoeira, as well as contemporary, acoustic, and world music genres where a precise timbre and responsive groove are sought.

Features and Innovations

Designed to meet the demands of modern playing, this pandeiro emphasizes practical choices: a Super Nylon head for stable response, a robust design suited for intensive use, and an ergonomic setup to facilitate extended playing. The 10-inch diameter provides a satisfying sense of control, whether playing fast samba patterns, softer accompaniment, or percussive accents to enrich an arrangement.

Sound

The Super Nylon head is ideal if you are looking for a clear and consistent sound: the attack stands out well, ghost notes remain audible, and the resonance maintains good definition even when playing becomes more energetic. Compared to some natural heads, nylon often offers a more regular response and a reassuring striking feel, particularly useful for working on precision.

With its 10-inch format, the C-PFB-10 delivers a balanced sound: enough body to carry the rhythm while maintaining quick response for dynamic variations, rolls, and hand changes. The result is an expressive instrument, easy to place in a mix, and effective for expanding your percussion palette both live and in the studio.
