Telegraph V2: A Modern Evolution of Stutter and "Signal Cut"

The CopperSound Telegraph V2 follows the tradition of signal-cut effects used to create chopped riffs, percussive patterns, and "glitch" textures. While a classic killswitch is limited to manual cutting, the Telegraph V2 takes the concept further with a Burst mode that automates the alternation between silence and signal, while maintaining very physical and immediate control, designed for both stage performance and sound design.

Who Is the Telegraph V2 For?

This stutter pedal is ideal if you want to transform a simple part into a catchy rhythmic pattern: alternative rock, electro, hip-hop, post-rock, ambient, math, noise... It suits both the guitarist who wants to "scratch" with their foot and the producer who wants to inject synchronized cuts into a synth setup. In the studio, it opens a palette of textures and dynamic accents; live, it becomes an instant arrangement tool, very effective on a pedalboard.

Controls, Modes, and Integration: Designed for Playing (and Syncing)

The Telegraph V2 offers three complementary approaches: Kill to sharply and rhythmically cut the sound, Activate to let the signal pass only when pressed, and Burst to trigger an automatic Kill/Activate alternation. The speed control (Burst Speed) allows you to shift from a musical and clear stutter to very fast tremolos, perfect for machine-gun effects.

The polarity selector radically changes the feel: in "Kill" mode, you keep your continuous sound and trigger the stutter burst on demand; in "Activate" mode, the pedal becomes a burst generator, with silence by default and rhythmic sound appearance when pressed. Going further, the Telegraph V2 accepts an expression pedal (up to 10K) to control speed in real time, and a CV sync input to align the rhythm with an external clock.

Designed to be reliable in real conditions, it includes power loss protection : if the power supply cuts out, the pedal automatically switches to bypass. You can also choose between momentary or latching (on/off) behavior, with the option to disable latching via an internal setting. Finally, Passive Dual Tap compatibility facilitates integration with "normally open" tap sources in more complex rigs.

Sound Character

The Telegraph V2 does not color your tone like an overdrive or modulation: it sculpts time. Expect a very "mechanical" and precise sensation, where your attack becomes percussive, with clean silences and instant resumes. At moderate speed, you get a very musical chopped tremolo; at high speed, the sound shifts toward glitch, ideal for staccato textures, "turntable"-style effects, or rhythmic accents that transform sustain into a pattern. The response to playing is direct: the cleaner your timing, the more surgical the cuts appear; but the pedal also knows how to create controlled chaos, perfect for breaks and transitions.
