A C4 Deluxe at the Heart of the Cort Spirit: Performance and Value for Money
For over 60 years, Cort has been designing guitars and basses known for their excellent value for money. The C4 Deluxe fits this philosophy by offering a bass with a bold style and ambitious equipment, featuring electronics by Bartolini and Markbass. The goal is clear: to provide a modern, reliable, and inspiring platform for playing in a band, recording, or working on your tone with precision.
Who Is the Cort C4 Deluxe For?
The Cort C4 Deluxe is well suited for beginner to intermediate bassists who want to invest in a serious instrument, as well as more advanced musicians looking for a versatile bass for stage and studio. Its modern orientation and active electronics make it comfortable in rock, pop, funk, metal, or gospel, whenever you need attack, definition, and well-controlled low end in the mix.
Sound
Thanks to its two Bartolini MK-1 dual pickups, the C4 Deluxe delivers a dense and balanced sound, with excellent midrange articulation and a solid foundation in the low spectrum. The Markbass MB-1 preamp provides headroom and especially great shaping capability: you can easily switch from a round and clean tone for fingerstyle lines to a more incisive response for pick playing. The combination of poplar body, maple neck, and jatoba fingerboard promotes a clear register, sharp attack, and good note definition, while the MetalCraft M4 bridge contributes to stability and sustain.
