The C5 Deluxe: The Artisan Spirit, Accessible and Uncompromising
For decades, Cort has built a solid reputation thanks to instruments offering a particularly competitive quality/price ratio. The C5 Deluxe aligns with the philosophy of the Artisan series: offering a bass with a refined look, serious craftsmanship, and renowned components, featuring a modern aesthetic enhanced by its candy blue finish and black hardware.
For Which Bassists and Styles?
This bass is aimed at intermediate to advanced bassists who want to move to a reliable 5-string for rehearsals, stage, and recording. Thanks to its humbuckers and preamp, it is particularly well suited for styles where precision and depth are essential: rock, metal, pop, fusion, modern funk, worship, and more generally any context where the low B string must remain clear and well-defined.
Sound
The Cort C5 Deluxe relies on an effective combination: a poplar body for balanced tone and good comfort, paired with two Bartolini MK-1 humbuckers that provide punch, clarity, and excellent note-to-note definition. The Markbass MB-1 preamp allows quick refinement of your tone: rounder and deeper sound to support the mix, more present mids to cut through, or brighter highs for slap and sharp attacks. The result is a bass with a modern character, responsive, and particularly comfortable when precision is required.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To complete your setup without compatibility issues, you can add a strap (essential for rehearsals and stage), a good quality 6.35 mm jack cable, as well as a tuner in pedal or clip-on format to secure tuning in all situations. A bass stand is also a simple and practical choice to protect the instrument daily.
