The Earth Series: Cort's "Vintage" Spirit
With over 60 years of experience in guitar manufacturing, Cort developed the Earth series as a tribute to great vintage acoustics: a timeless look, immediate playability, and proven lutherie choices. The Earth 60 CE fits this philosophy by focusing on a solid top and a construction designed to offer excellent value for money without sacrificing playing feel.
Who Is It For, and In Which Styles?
The Cort Earth 60 CE is very suitable for the beginner guitarist seeking a reliable and versatile acoustic, as well as the intermediate player looking for a versatile electro-acoustic. Its cutaway and preamp make it a good option for accompanying pop/rock, variety, folk, or strumming with a pick, while remaining comfortable for fingerstyle playing.
Sound
The solid spruce top provides a quick response, clarity, and good note-to-note definition, especially appreciated when alternating between arpeggios and strummed chords. The mahogany back and sides enhance the warmth and roundness in the midrange, with a clean low end and a never harsh high end: a classic combination for a balanced and expressive acoustic.
The cutaway facilitates access to the upper frets for solo lines or chords high up the neck. On the amplification side, the CE304T EQ allows you to tailor the sound to your playing style and the PA system, preserving the acoustic identity of the instrument both in rehearsal and on stage.

Questions frequently asked
Is the Cort Earth60CE Black suitable for beginner guitarists?
This model is suitable for beginner and intermediate guitarists thanks to its electro-acoustic format, cutaway body, and mahogany neck. The 43 mm nut width is a comfortable standard for learning chords and fingerpicking.
What is the tone characteristic of the solid spruce top and mahogany?
The solid spruce top provides a quick response and good note definition. The mahogany back and sides add warmth in the midrange with a clean bass.
Can it be connected to a PA system?
The CE304T electronics allow amplification of this electro-acoustic guitar and adjustment of the equalization according to the playing style or the sound reinforcement system.
Does the cutaway facilitate access to the higher notes?
The cutaway provides easier access to the higher frets on the laurel fingerboard. The 20 frets thus make it easier to play chords and phrases high up on the neck.
What finish and tuning machines are fitted on this guitar?
The glossy black finish is paired with chrome oil-bath tuning machines. These tuners are mounted on the headstock of the mahogany neck.
