A G Series: The Vintage Spirit Revisited the Cort Way
The Cort G115 SE is part of the G series, designed as a modern interpretation of a classic double cutaway. It features familiar codes (ergonomics, vintage vibrato, simple and effective electronics) while offering a play-oriented approach: versatility, quick handling, and finishes inspired by "old school" guitars.
For Whom and Which Styles?
This electric guitar is particularly aimed at beginners and intermediate players looking for a versatile platform capable of supporting both learning and first gigs. Thanks to its S/S/H configuration, it is well suited for pop, rock, blues, funk, and can also handle more aggressive styles when using the humbucker pickup (heavy riffs, modern rock, light hard rock).
The Sound
The combination of a poplar body and maple neck delivers a clear and responsive response, with a sharp attack appreciated for rhythm playing. The Indian laurel fingerboard balances the overall tone with a slightly warmer character. On the electronics side, the Powersound pickups in HSS configuration offer a true palette: the single coils favor definition and snap for arpeggios and funky licks, while the humbucker provides higher output, more body, and sustain when overdriven. With 1 volume, 1 tone, and a 5-position selector, you get intuitive controls to quickly shape your sound.
