Roselyn Redux: Cort's "Masterpiece" Spirit, Between Craftsmanship and Excellence

For over 60 years, Cort has established itself with a recognized quality/price ratio in the guitar market. With the Masterpiece series, the brand aims for a superior level of finishing and assembly: every detail is refined (neck profile, choice of woods, fittings) and the instrument is hand-assembled to achieve an inspiring guitar, both sonically and aesthetically. The Roselyn Redux fully embodies this approach, featuring solid luthiery and premium components designed for demanding musicians.

For Which Guitarists and Styles?

Thanks to its Orchestra Model format, the Cort Roselyn Redux is particularly suited for intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking balance, articulation, and comfort. It excels in fingerstyle, acoustic pop, modern folk, precise accompaniment, and arrangements, while remaining versatile enough for controlled strumming. The Florentine cutaway is a real asset for solo parts and chords high up on the neck.

Sound

The solid European spruce top provides clarity, a crisp attack, and excellent note-by-note definition, with a wide dynamic range when fingerpicked. The solid pau ferro back and sides add depth, rich harmonics, and a tight response, ideal for maintaining clarity in complex chords. The OM format promotes a natural balance between bass, mids, and treble, while the Sound Port enhances sound perception on the player's side for a more direct feel. Plugged in, the LR Baggs Anthem EQ is appreciated for its organic tone, close to an acoustic sound, with good control over presence and definition in live settings.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

With its all-solid luthiery, a guitar humidifier (to place in the case) is a safe choice to stabilize the instrument throughout the seasons. A steel-string acoustic guitar capo will also be suitable for varying keys, as well as a microfiber cloth to preserve the glossy finish.
