The Luce Series: Cort's Alternative to Dreadnought Formats
For decades, Cort has established itself as a benchmark for value for money, with controlled manufacturing and consistent specification choices. With the Luce series, the brand offers acoustic guitars with smaller bodies (OM, Concert, Parlor), designed to provide easier handling and natural sound balance. The Cort L60 fits this spirit: a classic-style acoustic with a modern approach to comfort and playability.
For Whom and Which Styles?
Thanks to its OM format and versatile temperament, the Cort L60 is particularly suited for serious beginners as well as intermediate guitarists who want an easy-to-play acoustic for everyday use. It is very well suited for accompaniment in folk, pop, chanson, and fingerstyle, while remaining comfortable for strumming. Its more compact size also helps maintain clean and controlled playing, ideal for working on right-hand precision and dynamics.
Sound
The solid spruce top provides clarity, attack, and a more expressive response than a laminated top: the more you play, the more the instrument can open up and gain richness. The mahogany back and sides complement this character with present mids, pleasant warmth, and excellent chord definition. The Orchestra Model format promotes a balanced sound between bass, mids, and treble, with precise projection and natural sustain, particularly appreciated for fingerstyle playing and nuanced rhythms. The open pore finish enhances the authentic feel and allows you to better sense the wood, with a sober and "vintage" aesthetic.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
The Cort L60 accepts standard acoustic guitar strings (steel string sets for acoustic). You can also equip it with a capo, a strap (with appropriate attachments), and a guitar stand, universal accessories useful for playing comfort and storage.
