An X-Series Built for Speed and Efficiency

For over 60 years, Cort has built a solid reputation thanks to instruments offering a particularly convincing quality/price ratio. The X series follows this philosophy with an identity clearly focused on performance: aggressive lines, playing comfort, and a "fast neck" feel. The X100 embraces these codes with a simple and direct configuration, designed to get straight to the point and remain effective both in rehearsals and on stage.

For Which Guitarists and Styles?

The Cort X100 is primarily aimed at beginner to intermediate guitarists who want an electric guitar that is easy to handle but modern enough to progress quickly. Its character suits styles where attack and precision matter: hard-hitting rock, hard rock, metal, as well as lead parts requiring reaching high up the neck. With its 24 frets and comfort-oriented construction, it encourages dynamic playing, from tight palm-mutes to more demonstrative solos.

The Sound

The meranti body provides a solid sonic foundation, with a generally warm response and good sustain in the low mids, helping heavy riffs stay consistent under distortion. The maple neck adds snap and attack, useful for maintaining definition as gain increases. The jatoba fingerboard enhances precision and clarity, appreciated for fast runs and tight chords.

On the electronics side, the two Powersound humbuckers deliver an output level suited to modern tones: firm lows, present mids, and highs capable of cutting through the mix. The controls remain intentionally simple with 1 volume, 1 tone, and a 3-position selector switch, allowing quick shifts from the neck pickup (rounder) to the bridge pickup (sharper), or a blend of both depending on the song. The 6-point tremolo completes the setup by offering a range of expressiveness to nuance your vibratos and punctuate your phrases.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

For comfortable daily use, you can pair it with a strap (standard size), a 6.35 mm jack cable for electric guitar, as well as a tuner (clip-on or pedal) to get the best tuning, especially if you use the tremolo.
